Saints & Sinners

The 'Saints & Sinners' collection began in 2012 as part of a series of oil paintings I created based on the Oscar Wilde quote 'Every Saint has a Past, Every Sinner has a Future..'

Edgy and fairly dark with it, the Saint's and Sinner's collection carries the strong message to look beyond the surface of a person and consider not just who they are at that moment, but instead to see them as a work in progress, everyone has potential even if it is sometimes hard to see.. and also someone may seem all together, but they too have a past.. and I think we need to remember that and give people some grace as they make their way through this thing called life. It's our hard times and struggles along the way that shape us into who we become.
