Art for the Broken Heart
3-4 times a year we hold an 'Art for the Broken Heart' session at our studio in Whangarei NZ, providing a safe space for those who have lost someone through suicide, to connect and be amongst others who are going through the same journey. Different forms of art can be used to express what’s going on inside, drawing, writing a poem, a letter to your loved one, even knitting if want, or you can simply just be present in without any interaction at all..
- Art for the Broken Heart is specifically for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, those who are trying to deal with the aftermath and devastation that suicide leaves in its wake.
In feb 2020 Angie (who is a big part of @Jessie Rose both business and personally) tragically lost her son through suicide, Brandon was also very much part of my life, so we run these sessions from personal experience and loss, to try and help others who find themselves in a similar situation.
- The team at Jessie Rose are not trained professionals. We are only providing a safe space to connect and engage with others who have lost someone to suicide.
